Greece is known for a handful of seemingly unpronounceable grapes that should not be overlooked. We’ll feature the “Big 4” grapes of Greece. Add these wines to your arsenal for a perfect pairings with a variety of Mediterranean dishes.
We’ll taste Assyrtiko, a bone-dry, saline white from the island of Santorini.
A rich aromatic Moschofilero blend from the Peloponnese.
Aghiorghitiko, or more simply “Saint-George”, which mimics a silky pinot with wild berry fruit
Xinomavro, or “Black Acid”, a wine the reminds money the Nebbiolo grape of Barolo and Barbaresco fame.
