2016 Cerise Vineyard Pinot Noir $189.99
“Fine Grit and Rustic”
Just 65 miles north of our winery in Sebastopol, CA is a parcel of land with raw, rustic character, and potential that we have only begun to tap into. It is here, in Anderson Valley, where our journey to find world-class Pinot Noir brought us in 2016. When visiting Cerise, one can feel the dichotomy of the land. Tameless and wild, but nonetheless beautiful in an unblemished sort of way. Pinot Noir blocks sit on the eastern side of the valley, facing west, 16 miles from the coast. The terrain is unrelenting, with slopes as steep as 30% ranging from 700 ft to 1,700 ft elevation. There is not a single block on flat ground. The incredible location has had a history of producing top ranking wines and we feel humbled to have the opportunity to farm this site and tell its story through our interpretation. As the years progress, we will continue to pursue wines that speak of their sense of place and invite you to join us on this exciting journey.

In 2017, Mother Nature delivered a concentrated harvest and our talented team worked tirelessly to bring the fruit in at peak quality. These wines are inspired by our desire to capture the essence of many of California's best vineyards for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This place-driven focus guides every decision in both vineyard and cellar, and each year we strive to produce exemplary representations of vintage and terroir. Gap’s Crown is considered by many to be one of the best representations of what the Petaluma Gap AVA, the southern component of Sonoma Coast, is all about. We’ve been working with the vineyard since 2006 and enjoy a long-term lease on 37 acres. Sweeping vineyards with dramatic elevation changes and clonal variety define this exemplary site. The presence of late-season fog allows for extended hang time, which promotes flavor maturation and phenolic development. Marked by intensity, this bold and beautiful wine leads with juicy, crowd-pleasing layers of blueberry and raspberry jam. 2017 Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir $189.99
“A Candy Store of Clones in the Coolest Part of the Region”
Keefer Ranch is one of the longest tenured properties in our Single Vineyard Series. Located in Green Valley, this mystical site is characterized by cool conditions and a distinct marine influence. Kosta Browne began working with this site in 2005, in collaboration with the legendary Marcy Keefer. Sourced from the 20-acre parcel that we purchased in 2013, this is a sophisticated and graceful wine that has balanced notes of raspberry and blackberry, while energetic texture and high-toned flavors throughout the palate represent classic KB personality.
